AOTM Satin Anderson

The athlete of the month for October is Satin Anderson. Last month
was a busy month for Satin. She participated in the weightlifting clinic
as well as the Nutrition Challenge- all while still attending group
training!! She made it to 29 classes between the group classes and the
clinic. It’s no surprise to us that she has been very consistent in both
eating healthy and working out but she says it is what most people
would find surprising about her!
When asked what first brought her to the gym, she said that one of her
coworkers was telling her about Crossfit and found the nearest one for
her to try. She says the things she loves the most about the gym is the group
training environment and how the coaches are very friendly and helpful.
Her favorite movement is the push press and she loves to do
EMOMs (workouts doing a skill every minute on the minute). Her
least favorite movement is running.
Finally, the advice she would give a new member starting out
their fitness journey is “to not be afraid to try new things when
working out. Some workouts might be hard but don’t give up. Some
things you might not get right away, just keep practicing and watch
videos on the movements. Trust the process and be consistent.” Great
words of wisdom from someone who is consistently here and getting
